ASID Joins - Meetup on Walking Tour of Historic St. Johns

Description

ASID Oregon is joining Meetup group "Positively Portland Walking Tours" this month for a walking tour of Historic St. Johns District.

Meetup's description of tour ~ "St. Johns was a separate, incorporated city from 1902 until it was annexed into the City of Portland in 1915. With a distinctive development history and one of the most beautiful suspension bridges on the West Coast, St. Johns has an identity all it's own.

We'll stroll though the historic center of St. Johns and then make our way down to Cathedral Park for an up close view of the landmark St. Johns Bridge. Along the way we'll see why St. Johns has a reputation for its very own Portlandesque vibe.

This easy walk covers less than two miles. We'll start at the McMenamin's St. Johns Pub (see photo below) and end up in Cathedral Park under the St. John's Bridge.

We'll meet in the outdoor courtyard of the McMenamins St. Johns Pub, or just inside the pub. Look for the red and white Meetup sign."
